Twelve studies of Donegal Tweed
Paper collage and Indian Ink, 29.7 x 21cm
This body of work takes its starting point from a Donegal Cottage Tweed suit owned and worn by the artist Derek Hill. While researching in Glebe House, for the exhibition Swallowing Geography in 2022, I documented the suit knowing I would come back to it after the exhibition. This work comprises of the series Studies of Donegal Tweed, in paper collage. These studies are being remade in textile, producing a series of double-sided textile panels. Each panel uses techniques of appliqué and quilting.
