Paper collage and textile
This body of work takes its starting point from a Donegal Cottage Tweed suit owned and worn by the artist Derek Hill. While researching in Glebe House, for the exhibition Swallowing Geography in 2022, I documented the suit to revisit after the exhibition. This work comprises a series of Studies of Donegal Tweed in paper collage. These studies are being remade in textile, producing a series of double sided textile panels. Each panel uses techniques of appliqué and quilting.
